‘Nuff said. Wow. That statistic says it all. I could be wrong, but I am not aware of any candidate who has lost their “home” and gone on to win the general election. Like I said, I could be wrong, but I cannot think of one instance either state or national.

Berg represented a part of Cass County, not the whole. In order to make your point you have to show how his old district voted.

Heidi lost Mandan where she lives, Morton County and Burleigh County next door.

I saw that. I was torn when making the statement above between living somewhere & being elected from there.
In 2008 McCain carried AZ but not by anything near the margins expected. Even the GOP mouthpieces on Fox commented on how foreboding that was.
I do not believe Berg was the right choice. Here is too hoping Heidi was

I agree. I really have put a lot of faith into her and that she isn’t just another politician. I know I’m living in a dream world but I can hope. But I also voted for Cramer and I wrote in for President. (I voted for Gene – jk) Although I think there are a couple on these boards that might have been better choices than what we were offered.

I agree. I have never voted straight party line and this year was no exception. In fact it was probably more spreadout than most.
