I am proud to say I have my NO sign out front … and for the first time ever I gave them some $$! Wow on just this vote I have broken my cardinal rule twice … no lawn signs and no $$. However I feel very strong about this … I am supporting people I know and love regarding this subject! and as for the RINO comment (you posted this exact same post elsewhere btw) … shame on the “R” … I am curious … do they require a test to see if you are Christian enough?? I took one on CNN earlier tonight … are you a blue Jesus or a red Jesus … I don’t think we need to worry about terrorism in this country anymore because politics and religion are dong a dandy job in destroying our country!

Carl unemployment is below 8% and was over that when Bush left office and it was climbing. Obama has nothing to do with the marriage law that is up to the courts and the people. Anyone in love and who want to spend their lives together should not be discriminated against because they maybe gay. Most religious fanatics want to inject religion into politics and law and it does not work. If Republicans can’t change the constitution they want amendments, and you just cannot put amendments on peoples lives if they want to spend their lives with someone they love! I have received at least a dozen letters encouraging me to vote in favor of gay marriage and I believe these people are right. Carl stop blaming Obama for the changes in life style and times. This argument has been going on before Obama, just like immigration and the Republicans have done little if anything to change the issues you continue to blame on Dems! Its the people Carl, not you, or anyone party.

My sister-n-law will be voting yes … why, because her church told her to … she is only voting yes because of religion … that is WHY our forefathers had the separation of church and state … some say religion has nothing to do with it, YET EVERY letter to the editor is only about Bible verses … you can chose to take rights away in a Constitution (which is way wrong), or you can look at it simply as ‘is taking rights away from anyone in a constitution a good thing, it doesn’t matter what the subject is’ .. and yeah pono you don’t need to say it … I’ve read your ! point … I truly hope you are
next Wednesday!

The Constitution is a living breathing part of what this countries principles and rights are all about. No one religion or political parties views are what we set laws by or dictate policy and guidelines, and there are some who seem to have forgotten this. This country welcomes all religions or no religion at all, and no religion has the right to force or even influence the lawmakers or politicians, yet this is what appears once again to be taking place. The people in this country can follow what ever political party of their choosing, but that political party has no right to embrace anyone religion then use those religious beliefs to place amendments on our Constitution, which strip some people of the right to marry, the right to choose, and the right to not be subjected to anyone religion if they have no religious beliefs. No one political group or religion should engage in stripping the rights of anyone person, or persons who choose to marry the same sex, its unConstitutional and goes against all our struggles and principles that guarentee these rights. Religious beliefs or views matters little to Americans except to those who follow the religion of their choice, and because that religion states marriage is a union between a man and a women should not hold true for everybody. Land of the free home of the brave, like it or leave it, and politicians and religious groups need to stop putting their spin on our rights and laws, and stop interferring with Government and state. Some churches are posting and supporting candidates for public office, so I have been vocal in reporting these churches and religious groups who take advantage of IRS tax laws granting them excemptions from paying taxes as long as they don’t engage in politics or endorsing and raising money for anyone candidate. I feel if these churches I am reporting want to support political causes, and endorse candidates then it is time for them to pay taxes because they are actually breaking the law and cheating! I not only photograph the church signs but give a detailed report where some church leaders are supporting candidates during their congregation speeches. These churches cannot have it both ways, so pay taxes and support your candidates, or leave politics out of religious organizations and abide by the tax laws!
