Bruce Vogel predictably falls back on the Republican complaint about “activist judges.” However, it does not appear that the Republicans were too concerned about the activist judges at the Supreme Court who gave us the Citizens United decision. Apparently it’s okay to be an activist judge if it means handing over the electoral process to big corporations and billionaires.

The country was mismanaged for 8yrs under Bush. The people have spoken Carl and it is your way of thinking that needs to change. The country changed and you either roll with it or get left behind. Some Republicans seem to want to live in the past which is why they suggested bills preventing women from using birthcontrol or didn’t want to fund Planned Parenthood. One Republican stated pregnancy that results from rape is a gift, that even outraged other Republicans. These are the issues people also took to the polls which caused Republicans to be defeated. They also tried presenting bills that called for voter ID’s and gay marriage amendment to the Constitution, al a waste of time and money. Latino’s also suffered under Republican policy which attacked illegals but also discriminated against latino’s who were born here and had children born here, and it cost Republicans. The fact that Romney and Republicans wanted Detroit to go bankrupt while Obama bailed them out was the reason he won Ohio putting the final nail in the Republicans coffin!

The misrepresentation about unions continues to be voiced by some who have no clue what they are talking about. They base their beliefs on a bad experience or some media reports. Unions don’t break companies because when the company opens their books they are either profitable or not and if the company is not profitable then there are no raises and the union works with the company as well as the employees. What would be the sense for a union to break a company? Now if employees are happy and don’t feel a union is needed so be it, but there are companies taking advantage of workers pay wise and labor wise which is where unions protect workers from illegally being terminated or denied OT when they work over 40hrs. This type of stuff does go on and Walmart is a perfect example…
