This is a problem, “their children lose their inheritance”? Quite the entitled attitude.

Very surprised that Sen. Solon did not have a will, medical directive nor trust for his children and current spouse. That is irresponsible for his surviving children who by law did not inherit?

“their children lose their inheritance”? Quite the entitled attitude” Inheritance is a gift not something the kids should expect. You don’t have to leave your kids anything. I urge anyone reading this to go see a lawyer who works with wills/trusts,and/or elder law. Long term health coverage is important and the younger you are when you get it, the cheaper the premiums are. I would urge you to go one step more and set up your funeral- at least get a plot in a cemetery- The other thing- if you had your will or trust drawn up in MN according to MN law and now have residency in another state, get your will/trust looked over in the state you now hold legal residence and get it updated to that state’s laws, because if you die in that state, its laws will take precedent over your MN will/trust.
