ENDORSEMENT: Noem not perfect, but has done well

This has become a nasty campaign, and honestly, we care very little about claims that Noem seemingly toys with her cellphone during committee meetings or that Varilek has hosted parties that revolve around corndogs and alcohol.

First of all the title of this piece should be “Noem not perfect, but at least she’s not a Democrat”
Now lets look at this “endorsement”.
“She has the background we are seeking in our elected leaders -she is a lifelong rancher, came up through the ranks of the SD Legislature and quickly rose to a leadership position in the U.S. House”. Yes, it’s a good thing we kicked her predecessor to the curb, she was only a lawyer and someone who knew the ways of Washington but, you know, she was/is a Democrat.
You say her attendance at committee meeting must improve but she’s not a slacker and always attends meeting that involve SD. So what is she supposed to improve?
You appreciate her voting record!!! Really?! All she did was vote as she was told. I believe she only went against her party once, after they let her know they had enough votes.
Noem is not responsible for the Farm Bill, yet the President is responsible for everything else and did not receive any support from her party to move the country forward. She IS allowed to vote her mind.
“Noem could do better, but certainly hasn’t done anything to be tossed aside after a single term”. Tell me again why Herseth was.
“Noem possesses the duel experience of a business owner and, now. a national lawmaker”. Again, tell me why Herseth wasn’t elected? The point is Noem was elected simply because of the party she’s with. She votes the way she’s told to vote.
I believe Varilek, like Herseth, would vote for the people of SD 1st nd the good of the nation, not as his party wishes.
This endorsement is as bad as the one for Romney….he may not be the right man, but at least he looks like one of us.
