Tony Cornish, Vernon Center, Minn., column: Claims about Voter ID don’t hold up
October 31, 2012 at 7:05 pm in Grand Forks Herald
Up to 500,000 people vote in Minnesota without any verification of their identity or address. That’s how people register from coin-op laundries and addresses that don’t exist. Continue Reading

Fact check needed here. I think little of what he has said is accurate.

You’re correct, Realist. For one thing, the Laundromat Story is getting shakier by the day: Cornish refers to it happening in 2010, yet it’s also been alleged to have happened in 2008 or 2006. (And guess what? The “coin-operated laundry” in question hasn’t been a laundromat since well before 2006; it’s been a private residence for quite some time. ) Go see Bluestem Prairie for the scoop on this bit of hearsay on steroids: http://www.bluestemprairie.com/bluestemprairie/2012/11/my-beautiful-laundrette-part-iii-harris-2010-fraud-folktale-spreads-to-grand-forks-herald.html

Hey, Rep. Cornish, lets talk about wholesale Election Fraud, all across the country. You know disenfranchising voters in known Democratic areas. Gerrymandering in Republican controlled states. Dodgy touch screen voting machine owned by Republican controlled companies, whose owners are on the record by publicly stating that they will do everything they can to see that Republicans win elections. You know, the very machines that are notorious for flipping votes? Seemly always for the benefit of Republicans. Notices sent out for voting places, with wrong addresses and voting times, wrong with dates. Also known to be mailed out by Republicans.
Shortages of working voting machines in Democratic areas. And the list goes on and on and on…
Ballots printed wrong in states that require electronic voting. So that all 28,000 ballots must be hand copied to corrected ballots, before thy can be run through the tabulator. (Missing headers) BTY, this is a Republican, Very Red State.
Voter Fraud? Voter Fraud is mostly a Republican distraction for their wholesale Election Fraud that has been going on since 2000.
“We the people…” are getting fed up with the Republican obstructionism and corruption.

Cornish started out with:
“Earlier this week, Colorado discovered that 300 noncitizens had registered to vote”
So I started by checking that claim …and it turns out Cornish has omitted a key word — it should have read:
“Earlier this week, Colorado discovered that 300 SUSPECTED noncitizens had registered to vote”
I SUSPECT something too!

Every CITIZEN is going to be forced to prove that they have heath insurance, under penalty of law and threats of fines.
But you don’t have to prove you’re a CITIZEN to vote.
