Nolan, Cravaack spar over economy in final debate
October 31, 2012 at 7:00 pm in Duluth News Tribune
The two candidates for the 8th Congressional District agreed that U.S. troops should be brought home from Afghanistan immediately, that mining is the backbone of the region’s economy and that the Air National Guard’s 148th Fighter Wing is a valuable asset for Duluth and the Northland.

There you go Mark with the typical ultra-liberal radial tripe.
What happened to you DFLers who NOW put more time, energy, and money into promoting atheism, enviro-radicalism, gay marriagism, self-proclaimed progressivism, voter fraudism, victimism, and bogus war on womenism than supporting thousands of the high paying JOBS? This is exactly why I stopped being a DFLer.
Fact is the DFL has been hijacked by the hardcore leftist ISM’s who piece by piece are destroying the American way of life that so many prospered from.
Is Nolanism the best the DFL has to offer?
Anyone with half a brain knows what is going on and will REJECT Nolan as have the all SIX major newspapers in the 8th including the Duluth News Tribune and the left leaning Star Tribune, who all endorsed Cravaack.

Why of course they would spar! One is a spend your way out of debt kind of guy, and the other wants to tighten the purse strings! I don’t think the DNT needs to tell us that, it is well known fact.

Nolan said he wants to return to the Carter years. Why on earth would anyone want 12% inflation, double digit unemployment, and 20% mortgage interest rates? Is this guy brain dead, or senile? People need to wake up before we get our own local obamination.

More Nolan is brain dead proof or just uninformed. He also wants federal spending (or investing as Dems call it) on bridges and roads to create steal demand – local I’m assuming. That was tried in 2009 when the $817 billion investment stimulus act was passed AND that” let’s use American steel only” rhetoric that the Democrat dominated House and Senate were insisting on feel flat on it’s face because too many Chinese and dirty steel eco lobbists were in the back pockets of all the committee chairs. Can’t imagine that it would work a second time around with all the same leadership in place.

It probably wasn’t mentioned in this debate, but what’s the deal with the denial on social security and medicare with Democrats looking for office. Either they are so misinformed about the stability of those programs or they just like pressing all the hot key buttons at the same time for effect. I was listening to Pat Krietlow’s (D, 7th WI) comments which are pretty much like Nolan’s about how Republicans want to destroy Social Security and end Medicare and thought are these guys insane. It says right on your last SS statement “without changes, by 2035 the trust fund will be exhausted and there will only be enough to pay 76 cents of each dollar of scheduled benefit”. With record disability claims each month, I would imagine that the same is true with Medicare. To do nothing, as Barack and Congress have done over the last 4 years, is proof of insanity.
