Yes I read about The Borum backing Romney on the Duluth News Tribune and a half dozen other Borum sites.

I am truley shocked! I thought forum communications would endorse obama after the endorsed berg, and governer big D!

I would like to see who they endorse in the minnesota house and senate! Democratic klobochar and peterson have a strangle hold on their reelections and will win by double digit margins but I bet forum communications will hold the party line and endorse the republican challangers who don’t have a chance

No I read on the Willmar Tribune they are backing Peterson and Klobuchar. They are the only Dems I have seen endorsed by this news source.

If I could vote for Peterson, I woulld. I considered moving back home and voting in Minnesota but ND politics seemed more important this election cycle. He was a House member who had the intelligence and courage to vote NO on Obamacare.

Just goes to show…You can be in the news business and still be ignorant to the facts. Endorsing Romney really makes me wonder how much intelligence there is int their reporting. To say he’s more of a leader after all that he’s said and done…..Wow….That’s pretty ignorant….

By the way….For you who keep trying to claim the Herald is a liberal paper…..Look at all those endorsements…..The issue is over…It is not Liberal so stop pretending it is any time one little thing you disagree with comes up….It’s only liberal compared to fox…Otherwise it’s about as red as you can get

Tundra I figured it out a couple months ago. Tom dennis has liberal views and writes most of the editorials for the herald. This does not make the herald liberal it only means tom dennis is liberal. The parent company forum communications is extremly conservative and always has been. Look at wday 970 all conservative talk shows and it even airs glenn beck!

The ONLY things Romney stands FIRMLY on, are his belief in magic underwear and the planet Kolob.

How many voting machines does the Romney Family own? How much improper influence do they have?

The Herald is owned by a corporation. Corporations value profit more than anything or anyone. Owning media is just part of the lipstick on the pig thing-but you all knew that right? The Herald is a very right wing publication and has been for quite some time.

How can we trust a news source who is supposed to actually be monitoring the real news….And then thinks Romney has real leadership abilities instead of being a flip flopper willing to do whatever his overlords want him to do. Romney will make Bush’s policies look like “The Good Old Days” by comparison.
Those who firmly are entrenched into right wing media really don’t get the full news if they’re only getting what passes as news from fox and the like. The Herald should be way beyond that with actual factual news so it boggles the mind how they can be aware of what’s going on and still make such an assessment.
Hot debate. What do you think? 27 22
The Herald is setting up a hedge. If the D’s win We’ll still have a somewhat democracy With a free press. The R’s win, anything to the left of FOX will be remembered and dealt with. Then they starve the US gov. into irrelivency Rewrite the constitution to their vision, Only let people with their I.D.’s vote and “VIOLA!!” they have a country they can be proud of

Good job GFH….Boo-Hoo libs.

We expect people like you who only gets the right wing propaganda and excepts it as actual news. The Herald should be above that because they actually are involved with the total news. It’s akin to the paper watching the Red rise and telling the readership that it’s looking good…And then continue that report as it’s topping the walls.
Besides…If you’re intelligent…Then you too are wearing blinders if you think ol’ Mittens is a leader. He’s not. He’s a puppet for Rove, the Kochs, and the rest of the power players. He’ll do their bidding and care less about the consequenses to the country…You guys and this silly notion of fixing America by tearing it down so the wealthy can go back to the land baron days with no restrictions…..It didn’t work then and it wont work now

Again Tundra, look in your mirror…the truth does hurt once in awhile….that’s life my friend.

I get the idea that it’s all about your team winning and nothing else matters. If you could be objective for just a while and look at what a poor choice this individual would be you’d probably slap yourself across the head for not paying better attention in the firs place.
Had there been actual logic for picking a real candidate on the right the other Mormon from NM (I think…can’t remembered his name) would not only have been one hell of an candidate, but would have the one main ingredient Mittens is missing….Leadership. Had he won I know I would have at least known he could be a president. If Mitt got in there you’re putting in a puppet under control of Rove and the other power brokers.
His history is full of constitant flip flops……..often from month to month. Does anyone really know what the hell he actually believes?
Finally….Yes I know…you hate Obama so much that nothing else is worth considering. Yet I ask you….If Obama or any other Demacrat acted like Mitt just how outraged would you and the fox party be about someone who constantly changed his positions like that……..Heads would explode for far less than what he does if it was a Dem…….But somehow it’s you who miss that mirror
Hot debate. What do you think? 23 11
Tundra, I ‘hate’ no one, never have. Libs hold this trait 100-fold over anybody else.
When they can’t provide a logical solution to any of life’s problems, blaming others of hate and ‘racism’ is their only response.

Richard, Richard, Richard…….Look at your calander….It’s 11/1……Not 4/1. Because for a far right winger to even begin to claim it’s the other way around is one hell of a great laugh.

I’ll expond a bit. Obama hadn’t even sat in the Oval office before there was a campaign to make him a one term president. The hate mongering started and has continued into a feavered pitch ever since. Now why would the right want him out even before he actually took office? Nobody ever proclaimed someone didn’t deserve a chance for a second term before they even began the first term…….Hmmmmm…..Race? Naw It couldn’t be that…..Well that’s the underlining reasoning, but basically the idea that he’s smart and has real leadership abilities that the power brokers haven’t been able to control is the real reason.
Ask yourself this. Why has the GOP gone from Bush who basically was under Cheney, to a hosts of candidates who were some of the worst possible to choose from (And of course Palin for vice last time) People like Bachmann who is over her head in being effective in her current position much less as president? It’s because the power brokers controlling the GOP want fools they can control instead of anyone with real leadership abilities…..Maybe losing not only the presidency, but also the house just might be the best for the GOP. Maybe the real candidates might try to take their party back…Those pain in the arse conservatives who actually were willing to work for the country instead of the power brokers…..Well to a point anyway….

Romney’s biggest problem is he is GWB Lite, & by necessity his administration will be populated by old Bush hangers-on.
That frightens me. I voted for W twice & count that among my greatest mistakes. I really do not want to go back there.
All that American Exceptionalism nonsense. The laws of physics do not apply to us. We are unique.
Look where that got us: two wars off the books & a failed economy full of people that think “too big too fail” is legitimate.
No we must never go back to those failed attitudes. It is simply too dangerous

Spot on Flying Nurse.
The choice couldn’t be more wrong. Mits record in Mass. has been much distorted by his campaign. The only reason he got things done there is because he workrd with a Democratic legislature who proposed reasonable solutions that even Romney had to agree with. He didn’t create as many jobs as he is touting and his approval rating at the end of his term was only 35%. We don’t even know what his plans are for deficit reduction, ss, medicare and most other issues. He’s not telling the real facts because if he did no one in the middle or working class would vote for him. I’m disapointed that the Herald fell for all of the Romney lies.

Factcheck.org reported, 800 budget line-item vetoes during Romney’s four years as governor, 707 were overridden.
In cases when the Senate challenged him, Romney was overridden every time. When the House challenged him, Romney was overridden more than 99 percent of time.
— That’s some record of working with Dems !

Guess the voters there are not too impressed by his gubernatorial achievements!

Obama has gained a point on realclearpolitics.com which is an average of 8 major polls. Romney is slipping, he is losing battleground states. He may win florida but that does little good if he loses new jersey new york and ohio!

I have to wonder how many actual journalists working at the Herald have a tough time holding their head up as an employee after such a foolish endorsement? “Yes…I work for the paper that actually endorsed the Chamallean who nobody really knows what he is about or actually stands for”. Man that must be embarrassing.

Benghazi needs more coverage so Americans know how the commander in chief failed 4 Americans who died. Running out the clock blaming the attack on a movie has been the administration strategy. I guess after repeating “Osama is dead and GM is alive” became such a big part of his reelection strategy that a lie was their only option. It is clear to this American that Obama lied and four Americans did not get needed help and died. The whole administration stinks! Good job Forum Communications, Des Moines Register and multiple other newspapers.

That fiction is a last ditch effort of desperation from the right and has very little barring on the facts. But you’re willing to buy into anything they say that paints the president in a negative manner regardless if there’s any reality connected to it or not.
Look…Even the right tried to find somone else after the primaries were done because even then thy knew this wasn’t someone who was presidential. You keep just digging into Obama from things you’ve pulled out of right wing media, but never have you made a comparison to what makes Mitt a leader over Obama. Do you have any idea what he stands for….Any at all? Or is it that you just want Obama out so bad that you’re willing to accept a stand for nothing puppet to take his place? Because that’s what you’re throwing your support behind.
When you run sombody like Mitt it stops becoming a left right contest and just a basic “Who is a real leader….And who is willing to jump through hoops for the likes of the Koch brothers and leave the rest of America behind?
Following your reasoning, the Republican’s hero, Pres. Reagan was responsible for even more American deaths: 04/1983: US embassy in Beirut attacked by terrorist and 17 Americans were killed. This attack coming 30 days after embassy had requested more security and got none. 10/23/1983: 241 US marines killed by terrorist attack on marine barracks in Beirut. It was the deadliest single day marine death toll since the Battle of Iwo Jima. What was Pres. Reagan’s response? Send in invading armies ala George W. no–his response as explained to the American people was this: “In general, terrorists are difficult to identify, impossible to control and protect against so we are withdrawing our forces from Lebanon.”
That is a thoughful leader’s reponse.
And speaking of blame for terrorist attacks: What did George W. do when he received the memo warning of imminent terrorist attack within the US? He continued his vacation with not even a shout out to the airlines. I believe the title of that memo as testified by Condalessa Rice was “Bin Laden determined to Strike in US.”
