Although Peterson is too much a blue dog – he’s the lessor of the two evils – I will vote for Peterson. Hopefully he’ll retire after this term.

oh Carl … why do you complain??? Peterson has voted often with the Republicans … remember he did vote AGAINST the Affordable Health Care bill … you should love him for that … my line will remain blank (all Republicans should love that) … I can’t support either … and yes, remember I did do my research .. Byberg’s views are so opposite of mine that Peterson in the end should deserve my vote, alas he won’t get it. (and my complaint on Byberg refers to ONE single line on his web page, yes that one single line did it for me)

thank you ‘at’ … hostility, degradation, etc. gets us no wheres … just look at the past 4 years … alas just because you and I can agree on that, that vast majority of people do not … your either ‘with them or against them’ … I agree with you regarding the economy, but somehow national security has taken a back seat in this election process … when the day comes that I don’t have to take my shoes off, etc. to get on an airplane will be the day that I no longer worry about terrorism … when do you suppose that will be?? yeah I agree, NEVER … and yes social issues shouldn’t be such a big part of politics but especially since 1998 they have been … I can not and will not sit idly by watching rights being taken away from people … messing with our constitutions to do just that … it is wrong … today, for the first time in my life I have a political sign in my front yard … it says VOTE NO!

I have to say I received a Byberg ad today that was a blatant lie … suggesting that Peterson supports ‘Obamacare’ … everyone knows he voted against it … he has never supported it … why would Byberg lie about that??

I guess 2 Byberg fans don’t believe me. That’s okay, you probably received the same glossy flyer as I did today (as well as a ton of other ones) and believe what was written on it. I’m still not a Peterson fan but after that lie, perhaps my line won’t be blank this year!

The deficit was $1.2 B when Obama was sworn in and it’s now less than that ($1.1B? about?)
Stop lying Harold! It gets you nowhere!!!

Mr. Carl … how does that change Mr. Byberg’s flat out lie??? Somethings are out of ones control … the economy was a complete mess 4, even 8 years ago (was I the ONLY one that saw this coming with the housing market?? DUH) … I admit President Obama was wrong on thinking he could fix it in 4 years … but Mr. Romney isn’t going to either … if Mr. Romney started out where Pres. Obama was 4 years ago people would be screaming just as loud. But that does not change the fact about Byberg’s flat out lie … in print … what say you about just Byberg’s lie??

I got sucked back in. Jessie…it’s not a “lie”. One cannot be against something, then when afforded the opportunity to vote against it, not take that opportunity. That is the same as being “for” it! What is not transparent about that? He is trying to placate the conservative voters in the district…that’s how he has stayed in office 22 years. CD7 has 5% more registered Republicans than Democrats. That means Republicans have been responsible for voting him in. Should that 5% change their minds, it’s game over. He is playing political games…the MAIN reason I am not for his re-election.

I have never heard Rep. Peterson say he was for Obamacare … he is still very anti-Obamacare … I am finally hearing his ads on the radio … he EXPRESSLY states that he did NOT vote for Obamacare …. no where did he flip flop … and speaking on that term … do we really want to get into the flip flopping on the Presidential race … those ‘etch a sketch’ and erase everything I’ve said before moments because I take them all bake now that I have the nomination?? I’m pretty sure if you are a Romney supporter you might not want to go there.

Really Carl on person out of 535 is going to make the difference, I hate to burst your little conservative red bubble but you better hang on because Wednesday Byberg is back to being a regular person and not a candidate. He loses 58% to 42%!

Exactly where we went wrong: Not wanting “regular people” in office.

hmmm most people are ‘regular folks’ … I suppose I would consider someone who is not a ‘regular folk’ to be multi-millionaires, I’m pretty sure if we sat down in a room together there might not be much conversation … oh who am I kidding, I would talk and talk and talk and they probably would fall asleep on me (this is non-partisan btw) Byberg will not get my vote (remember I went out to his web site after some prodding and finger pointing at me for not being informed) and read where he stood … I can’t vote for him. Our ideals are too different. I’ve met Congressman Peterson, he isn’t really any different than I am … I’ve met a few Senators and Congressman and honestly (both parties now) for the most part they are pretty decent people. I was very impressed with Senator Boschwitz (not sure on that spelling) when he was in office, had a chance to talk to him one on one and I liked him. Maybe they just appeared to be ‘regular folks’ when talking to a regular folk … I’m not sure. And yes, some were/are multi-millionaires (heck I know farmers who are multi-multi-millionaires) … well gosh now I’m confused … okay we are all regular folks at the end of the day … never mind LOL
