I’ve long wondered what the word/expression “upscale” means? It sounds like a reference to heavier or fat. (You know, you add on weight and you go ‘upscale’.)
I hope the taxpayers don’t have to foot the bill for the new “Grand Entrance” from Woodland Avenue to UMD, last I heard the University is still pax-payer supported.

UMD is does not want to put in a new entrance off Woodland Ave. It would be too expensive for them. The developer wants it but UMD doesn’t. The developer doesn’t realize that the students can just walk across Woodland to get to class. So you might see a walkway of some sort. The kids are not going to drive the 3 blocks to class and pay to park on campus.
