“[Act 10] was rushed through without input from both sides.”
Instead of discussing it, the Democrats decided to have a party in Rockford.
“UW-River Falls is the largest employer in the 30th district,” Odeen said.
Great. The largest employer in our area is also one of the largest drains on our taxes. We should be proud of that?

As I recall, Act 10 was passed after some of the longest public hearings in the history of the legislature. That is hardly ‘not listening to both sides’. It just means the dems lost the vote. The only ones who became uncivil and uncooperative were the dems who swore, threw drinks and their colleagues and then left the state to prevent passage of the bill. And that is just the legislature I am referring to! That doesn’t even take into account all the ‘occupy’ folks in the capitol for weeks on end with their unruly behavior.
It is pretty tough to hear this big government liberal lawyer talk about how civility and cooperation need to be restored in Madison. She should talk to her own party leaders about that. We don’t need another liberal lawyer in the legislature in Madison. There are already far too many.

I find it typical for members of the left like her to talk about bringing back cooperation and civility while seeming to blame the Republicans for all the polarization. How will she work with the Gov and Repulicans?……didn’t think so.
