Tim Walz, we will never become energy independent following the democrats, especially obama!
No president in our nation’s history has done more to prevent America from tapping its energy resources than the current one. It’s obvious he’ll say anything to obfuscate his record, but facts are stubborn things, and they aren’t on his side. Quite the contrary. Obama’s proving himself to be a pathological liar, but it’s not as easy as it’s been in the past since he now has an actual record which can be contrasted with the nonsense he utters. It seems as though obama has a systematic plan to dismantle this country. He speaks of good things we need to survive but does just the opposite! I voted for Walz, but I can no longer support the democratic party at any level. If there were ever a time to go independent now would be it!

Walz is just a puppet who votes like Obama, Pelosi, and Reid. Vote him out. Vote Quist.

“Attempts at character assassination are useless, certainly this long after the fact. You gotta come up with something better — or people will accuse you of being hateful and petty”— Then I’m sure you will express your outrage shortly at Obama and company trying to use the, “Romney cut a kids hair when he was in High School,” or the numerous other attempts at character assasination they are constantly participating in. Hateful and petty?

So, is this about Obama or Walz? I abhor character assassination, whoever does it. “Obama and Company” didn’t dig up the story. The media did. It took on a life of its own, with no help from Romney’s political opponents. But that will mean nothing to you. Thanks, however, for reminding us of his “bullying” behavior so close to the election!
This isn’t a “tit for tat” situation. Truly petty people — truly narrow-minded people — play the stupid game where, when challenged, they say “Well, XYZ did it, too! (Even when they didn’t.) What do you make of that!?”
Ben was wrong — and stupid — to bring up something from 17 years ago in an attempt to smear Rep. Walz. It didn’t work when Walz ran the first time, and it won’t work this time.
You’d do well to stop defending STUPID behavior.

ben – you’ve got nothing better to do than troll for youtube videos on a Saturday night?
This is hardly news… it happened 17 years ago, 11 years before Congressman Walz was FIRST elected to Congress in 2006. Don’t you think his FIRST opponent (he defeated the incumbent Gutknecht back then) would have used this against him at the time if it would have made a difference?
Why bring this up now?
Attempts at character assassination are useless, certainly this long after the fact. You gotta come up with something better — or people will accuse you of being hateful and petty. Crap like this won’t change the outcome of the election. But, nice try!

Gee, Ben, remind me…
Is Walz running for US CONGRESS or for STATE REPRESENTATIVE? I don’t see where — as a US Congressman – he has much influence on how much Minnesota residents pay in STATE taxes.
Am I missing something? Or are you?

Your point isn’t made. The entire sentence I wrote reads: ” I DON’T SEE WHERE — as a US Congressman – he has much influence on how much Minnesota residents pay in STATE taxes.” If you’re going to “cut and paste”, cut it in full context.
If you have a problem with the MN STATE tax rates, take it up with the Republican-controlled Senate and House. They’ve done NOTHING in the last 2 years to lower anybody’s tax rates, as far as I can recall. They’ve shifted the tax burden to the cities, but there’s no relief statewide. Call your MN senator or representative with your issues.
I should remind you that YOU started this ridiculous tirade about Congressman Walz, damaging your own credibility. See if you can wrap it up gracefully.
Walz is from MN? You have a firm grasp of the obvious!
