It sounds like the setup to a joke: A candidate for Congress and Bowzer from “Sha Na Na” walk into a senior expo and quickly wear out their welcome.

Nolan was waltzing around the Blackbear Casino a few weeks ago also. Not sure what that was all about,
Trying to ‘Drum Up” some campaign money $$ ??

BARNEY FRANK JR. & RADICAL RICK is like Pimping & Stealing Ain’t Easy but They Got Away With It – Again.
Like shoplifters paying after the fact, Barney Frank Jr. and his pimp daddy, 70′s swinging Radical Relic Rick Nolan are as slimey as it gets. After getting caught, they purchased their $6 dollar admission ticket but never paid the required $270 fee and in fact distupted many exhibitors who did play by the rules.
Some people never change and Nolan needs to be rejected and stay back in the 70′s with his buddies Barney and Bowzer.

Tracy accuses you of spreading lies and that’s your response?

Actually Katydud, our sources who witnessed much of what occurred at the expo stated they were kicked out. There was a significant verbal confrontation. When you steal from a business’s putting on an event in a facility they rented, and you are asked to leave multiple times, you got kicked out no matter however you sugarcoat it.
This is about Nolan’s slimy and poor character period. Stay tuned we have much more to EXPOSE!
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 84 17
Well it appears plain to everyone else that the only source that matters at all is saying you were lying!!
Poorly-rated. Like or Dislike: 20 54
Well, when the person that put on the event says they felt compelled to set the record straight because of your lies, it’s kind of hard to believe anyone was sugar coating anything.
What would Tracy have to gain by that? All he had to do was keep quite and the whole thing would have disappeared.
So by your account you aren’t the liar, Tracy is. Right?
BTW, don’t you think the whole ‘katydud’ thing is just a little junior highish?

LOL….I’m somewhat familiar with that blog. Whenever there’s an excessive amount of ‘thumbing’ on a story here, I check to see if that story has been linked to on that site.
9 times outta 10 that’s what has drawn the lil thumbers out.
They sure are a quite bunch though.

Leftie, we openly await any proof of your outrageous claims. In the meantime you have motivated me again and we have a much larger NOLAN story we will be exposing next week.
I am so glad we were first to EXPOSE the theft and unethical behavior otherwise it would not have been printed in the DNT.
The facts are contained in the well written article. The promoter had every right to kick them out and he did. The promoter is tiptoeing around the “kicked the out” but as seen from the article content below, that is exactly what happened, and I cannot not blame him. Nolan was stealing the space the promoter rented and hurting many of the vendors ability to promote their organizations.
FROM THE ARTICLE:
“It was no laughing matter”
“Nolan’s pitch of himself for the 8th Congressional District without renting a booth upset some expo attendees and exhibitors”
“I got several complaints”, “Remember, Jeff, you know what the rules are in here. … You’ve got to have a booth to politick at this event”
“Lundeen said he had to put his foot down”
“after he confronted Anderson, he was told the group would be there for only 15 more minutes. But 15 minutes went by and vendors started complaining”
“One exhibitor complained that Nolan interrupted them when they were having a conversation with a potential customer”
“Another exhibitor was a nonprofit group that can’t appear to be political, Lundeen said.”
“Nolan was having pictures taken with people with their booth clearly in the background”
“Lundeen said he then got another complaint, this time from an insurance carrier”
“Later Wednesday, Anderson texted an apology to Lundeen”
“Tracy, sorry I barked at you today”

Let’s all take up a collection for poor Tracy Lundeen. Come on people Tracy really needs that $270 booth rental. Lundeen doesn’t exactly have a sterling track record of putting on events. Back to the Fifties comes to mind. I don’t beleive everyone got their money back when he’d cancel the event.
Poorly-rated. Like or Dislike: 30 100
Lundeen’s record is irrelevant in this issue. The fact is that Nolan and his entourage entered the private event under false pretenses and proceded to create a scene to attract attention to themselves and disrupt the event. The rules were simple enough and plain to see the reasoning. But no, as democrats commonly think, the rules don’t apply to them. Nolan showed what an arrogant and pushy person he really is. Apparently, not any different than how he was in office eons ago. He is a relic of the old Minnesota Democrat machine and as a result, looks ans sounds sadly out of place today. For the record, I’ve known Tracy Lundeen since he helped out local bands back in the 1970′s & ’80′s. I rented many lights, sound boards and other performance necessities from his company. He alway’s was a helpful, straight forward and honest business person with a willingness to help in anyway he could to help you succeed. Thanks Tracy and keep up the good work!

Barry, what lie? Nolan was kicked out, the event promoter is sugar coating it. Prove any lie and we will recant it. We stand by the fact Nolan was kicked out.

Lundeen insists he didn’t throw them out.
“The only reason I responded is people were telling untruths,” he said.
So I guess it’s your word against the event promoter’s, eh?
I wonder how Tracy feels about being called a liar, numerous times.
Poorly-rated. Like or Dislike: 19 58
I wonder who dreamed this up for him? I am trying to picture how they ever thought this was a good idea…..
Arrogance in this guy I haven’t seen since……..well, since the guy before Chip in this seat…….
Note to Nolan: Arrogance and bitterness didn’t work too well for the loser in the last campaign for this seat.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 93 14
Typical liberal arrogance, they never think rules pertain them, only others. It’s also instructive on why character matters in leaders.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 89 19
This is a Jim Oberstar stunt. He is advising the campaign and he is still bitter. Is his campaign so disorganized that they don’t know when events are coming up? Regardless, Nolan is an Obama yes man, a dyed in the wool flaming liberal and wrong for th 8th district. Like a typical liberal,he blames others for their errors. Disgusting.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 82 15
I enjoyed the parting shot Lundeen took when he said, “he was neither a Cravaack nor a Nolan supporter. After what happened at the expo he said he has come down on Cravaack’s side”. Now that reporting, thanks for including DNT.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 75 7
I don’t now if you can actually believe that though. DLFX has been quite adamant about Tracy being a liar.
Poorly-rated. Like or Dislike: 12 64
BINGO Don! You read very well between the lines.
The truth is Leftie is mad because of our sites tremendous success and the fact her little untrue make believe stories “I know someone…” do not and should not make the cut.
I wonder how much damage Nolan’s stunt caused for the promoter’s future business renewals. This is why the promoter kicked them out and is not using the word kicked them out. The promoter is between a rock and a hard place because Nolan was too cheap or too broke and definitely VERY UNETHICAL in his actions.

And just like that, we’re not talking about the Georgia-Pacific workers or the New Hampshire house anymore. Amazing!
Poorly-rated. Like or Dislike: 16 63
I could not agree with you more White Pine! Add to the list Nolan’s Florida half a million dollars home, his bankruptcy and taking the bank down with him, reckless spending while in DC, and much more to be EXPOSED. Just yesterday we EXPOSED Nolan’s Junket Disgrace to State story. Nolan’s taxpayer paid world travels were clearly self-serving just like Nolan’s freeloading at the expo.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 67 11
Leftie, What a lot of liberal bogus whining. I know Mr. Craavaak and that doesn’t,fit his integrity and decorum. Sounds like some embellishment of the facts. If you can not win on issues look for distractions and that’s what this sounds like.

I finally figured out what it is about Rick Nolan that bothers me. Open the links below in different tabs in your browser then switch back and forth between the two tabs.
Who cares about the political positions, party affiliation, or endorsements of a candidate. I can’t vote for someone who looks like they were separated at birth from Jerry Sandusky.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 50 9
Classy move, Nolan. The party of entitlements won’t even pay the proper fee to have a booth. “I don’t have to pay. Don’t you know who I am?” “Yeah, some old fart who wants to get in free!” I hope Chip kicks your butt back into the nursing home, where there is no cover charge, and you can blather on as long as you like. Take “Bowzer” with you.

This is an unfortunate incident. I wasn’t there, but I was at another event where Mr. Nolan had experienced car trouble. It was late in the evening. A tow truck was called. Minutes later the car issue was resolved and the tow truck cancelled. I’m sure the tow truck driver barely had time to get out the door by then. Mr. Nolan insisted on leaving payment with a neighbor who was present and knew the driver and could give it to them later. I found that to be an honorable thing to do. It also showed the sensitivity of Mr. Nolan to a small business operator. I was there, saw it all take place and was impressed. Some wires obviously got crossed in the Senior event though.

So Nolan refused to pay his fair share. Where the heck have I heard that before? What a flaming hypocrite!
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 50 6
Nolan and Anderson showed bad judgement, were rude, arrogant, etc., …. guilty plain and simple. If in a privately owned establishment and the manager repeatedly asks you to stop your behavior due to complaints deemed valid by management, the responsible and respectful (even legal) response is to stop that behavior. Lundeen had full right to tell them if they did not stop and/or leave the premises, they would be trespassing……. what a headline that would have made.

There is nothing honest about a website that operates anonymously and is all about “exposing” partisan dirt. Liars? Of course they are! Otherwise they would not shield themselves from potential lawsuits by hiding. DFLX is the seamy slime of Duluth, period.
Poorly-rated. Like or Dislike: 10 45
Oh Kelly, be nice sweetie. “Nothing honest”? We are behind your brother and 99% of our stories are from news sources. Truth Kelly.
For example our top story, the endorsement of Congress Cravaack by the Mesabi Daily News who regrettably endorsed Oberstar last election. How about that truth!
You have to wonder how anyone would endorse Nolan after his action at the Senior Expo. That’s more truth you can take to the bank.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 44 5
Anderson is just trying to suck his way to the next level of the “Party”..
If I were him, I’d give up the advice business and try for a better haircut.

Funny how You Dems whine about the DNT when they support Rep candidates or write something negative regarding your party! All I have to say, It’s about time! It is finally closer to reporting, rather than bias stories which we have witnessed for years in our region.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 30 4
Don’t kid yourself. The local staff still endorse liberal candidates in the primaries because the newspaper owners let them, but they have no choice about who to endorse in the general elections. That’s the only time you’ll see any semblence of unbiased reporting. Got to love union contracts or Forum would clean house.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 19 2
Dan H….you are on the right track…..since the Forum purchased the DNT……Headquarters dictates that the DNT endorse conservatives for the 8th district congressional race and the Presidential race……from the State level races to the local races here in Duluth…..the DNT STILL gets to endorse whomever it wants to…..and we all know that 90% or more of those races are endorsed by the DNT ……are…..TA DA……you guessed it…..DFL candidates! So….not much has changed over the……. DECADES!

I urge people to read Ron Brochu’s 10/18 report in BusinessNorth on the incident at the Senior Expo, which was held the day before. http://www.businessnorth.com/briefing.asp?RID=4935. And then read the report in the Saturday 10/20 DNT. http://www.duluthnewstribune.com/event/article/id/247126/. Note the discrepancies between what Tracy Lundeen says to BusinessNorth, and what he says to the DNT.
For extra credit, you may read the note to political candidates posted on the Senior Expo’s own website.http://www.seniorexpoduluth.com/politicalcandidates.htm. Note the discrepancies between what political candidates are allowed and not allowed to do at the Senior Expo and what happened, based on what was reported in the two newspapers.
You may draw your own conclusions from the evidence, rather than from the spewings above.
