This is not worth the effort. Emineth is silly to persue this. It’s nice to have election day be a day when we can go to the polls without being assaulted by campaigning. The election season last too long as it is.

If anything, they should pass a law that makes it illegal to campaign within 5 days of the election. Enough is enough already. I highly doubt that anyone changes their mind that close to the election. The politicians campaign 24/7/365 anyway. They care more about getting elected than they do about actually doing their job.

Heck, after seeing campaign ads for over a year already, getting sick of seeing them months ago. Limit the ads to within 5 mo. of elections, stop the last day of October. Give them One direct chance to speak their positions on all things, then just do repeats of it on tv, to let all decide. Otherwise they keep flip flopping, don’t know who is telling the truth.

The current state of campaigning in America is an abomination. The ‘special interest’ and ‘PAC’ money has turned the entire process into a JOKE…and a bad one at that. The majority of the broadcast ads are not endorsed or put together by either candidate. Beyond ridiculous.

That darn 1st amendment; what were the founders thinking when they dreamed that one up?

How about the 1st amendment be limited to the types of media they had when the constitution was written?
