The severity of the crisis is an important call to action; yet without a tangible sense of what the trillions of dollars spent on obesity treatment in our country really mean, it’s easy to remain disengaged from the issue.

“Minnesota was a national leader in changing smoking policy…” Uh-oh. Remember when all you fat people were having so much fun demonizing smokers? That was just practice for these people. I do hope you’ll keep in mind how eager you were to join in when it didn’t affect you personally because it’s about to.

Step 1, fine. Step 3, easy, just do it,not a big enough deal to phase sugar pop out. But Step 2 is a financial or green step. A local carrot sitting next to breaded chicken strips and fries isn’t going to cut obesity.
