I really hope this doesn’t pass. There’s no need for it. If you don’t work, you don’t need a credit card. Period. You can already be an authorized user on your working spouse’s card, which should solve any issues a stay at home parent should have. If you don’t work (AKA earn money), you don’t need a credit card. Period.

Nobody NEEDS a credit card. Anyone can get a debit card so why would she need one?

Great, what could possibly go wrong when you give people with no income a credit card. Don’t need their husbands permission? Well, if your a stay at home mom with no income who do you think is gonna be paying the credit card bill at the end of the month?
