I don’t know,,, always makes me kind of question the humanity of zoos – even the modern ones. Wild animals living in captivity – something doesn’t seem right but I think the education has to come to the people as the people can’t all go to the nature to see animals in their natural habitats. Some sacrificed for the benefit of the greater good??…. hmmm, I reckon that’s the best we can do.
Just proves to any doubters about vivisection and so forth, that animals are sentient creatures as are humans. They feel pain, experience stress and suffer as a result. Kind of plays into the hunting for sport thing. Where do you draw the line. I’m glad that I gave up the gun.

It’s much kinder to hunt with a camera!
Here’s hoping that Berlin will make a full recovery & return to Duluth where she is very loved & missed.
The humanity of zoos? Not much of a life for an animal except for good, nutritious food always & medical care. Otherwise? I think they’d prefer to be free. <3 Berlin
