At the forefront of this political effort to suppress the civil rights of a minority is the US Conference of Catholic Bishops (and that august group spent almost $27 million lobbying Washington last year).

How sad it is to see so many people prepared to translate their moral indignation about a no harm issue into law.
My guess is that the tide is turning across the country, and pretty soon, these attempts to legalize bigotry will go the way of “don’t-ask-don’t-tel.” I hope that Minnesota leads the way.

From the point of view of strategy, I found their lastest tv ad interesting. An attractive woman appealing to “let the voters decide” argument.
