I am glad justice was served for this child unlike another case in which an aunt, Christy Shaffer, tortured for months and beat up her niece, Alissa Guernsey, until she finally killed her and she only served 77 days in jail. She should have gotten 99 years like this woman too.

While I am not in favor of adults torturing or hurting children 99yrs is truly excessive and is more time the murders have been sentenced to. The crime doesn’t warrant 99yrs, because now tax payers also pay the high price. Prison time is fine and some treatment in a mental facility is more like it. Then she is not to be around her kids or anyone elses for that matter.

I have to agree Jimmy … 99 years is excessive compared to other crimes … let’s just hope she never has another child EVER! child abuse is a horrific thing, no child should endure this type of abuse … she deserves time in jail, I just wonder if she would have gotten that long of a sentence had she murdered her child?
