Cribmaster….just like the GOP saturated legislature that shut down the State and wasted months of time getting amendments on the ballot that increase the size of government and cost tax payers millions of dollars? Hmm…..open your eyes. The GOP is way worse than the DFL.

Actually, if you review the FACTS, our Democrat Governor Dayton vetoed the proposed balanced budget, thereby shutting down the state. So our Democrat Gov. was responsible for the state shutdown, not the GOP. But don’t let the facts get in the way of a good rant!

It is the governor’s responsibility to make sure that anything that crosses his desk is in the best interest of the state.
It is the legislature’s responsibility to make sure that anything they send to the governor’s desk is something he will believe to be in the best interest of the state.
Who deserves more blame?
I would say the group who wasted all that time authoring and debating a budget, waiting until the last minute and then submitting something they knew full-well the governor would veto.

You seem to be forgetting an important issue: When 9/11 was happening Mark Dayton was hiding under his desk!

Paula…you seem to be forgetting that the State of Minnesota shut down because of the GOP! Not only did the State of Minnesota shut down…but we also have ridiculous amendments on the ballot because the GOP wants to waste more tax payer money AND put more government regulations in place! I thought the GOP was trying to be the party of less government…it appears they are the party of HUGE government….maybe we should rename the Republican party as the Communist Party….

Just one more way, besides lottery tickets, for people to pay the VMT (Voluntary Moron Tax). Sad.

So how many of these pads does each bar get? What if there are more people wanting to play that the bar can offer? What happens when they go dead and need recharging? Will there be a time limit on how long you can play so others can play? Sounds like a right church wrong pew idea here…

Was thinking the same thing. I’m guessing there’s only a few of these iPads in each bar, but often times there’s 8-10 tables of people playing ‘tabs at a time. Does this mean bars will have 8-10 iPads on hand or will there be a sign-up list to reserve them or how is that going to work?

“After exchanging a photo ID for an iPad…” ———- Wait! This disenfranchises the elderly, college students and the poor that can’t afford an ID! (sorry I just couldn’t resist – calm down it’s tongue-in-cheek)

Here is another twist: Lets stay on subject. The last I checked nobody is forcing or mandating anyone to play pull tabs, drink alcohol, or smoke cigarettes. All pull tab booths in the state of MN have to tell you what organization they are sponsoring. If you don’t like it, stay away from it. Pretty much like buying Girl Scout Cookies.
