Pat Kreitlow, the Democratic candidate for the Wisconsin 7th District U.S. House seat now occupied by Sean Duffy, came to Hudson last week to talk about his ideas for growing the economy.

Wow, what a load of garbage. He was only able to go to school because of Pell Grants? That is complete bs. If his parents were as poor as he says they were then he would have qualified for plenty of loans to pay for both his schooling and room and board. He wanted a free ride so he took grants. I think grants should be completely eliminated in order to provide the necessary loans to ALL people who want a higher education. We should make the people only pay back the loan plus inflation. College is a choice and a privilege and as such should be paid for by the person who chooses to go. The taxpayers already pick up most of the tab so I think the people who attend(ed), like me, need to pay our fair share.

“Duffy voted to keep the Bush tax cuts for the top 1 percent, Kreitlow said…”
There was no separate bill on the “Bush tax cuts” for the top 1%. The bush tax cuts gave tax cuts to ALL workers that pay taxes, and people at the bottom of the scale received a higher cut in their taxes than people at the top end of the scale.
But don’t let facts get in the way of your political BS, Pat.
