Here we go …..again! The City of Duluth and St Louis County will also be raising their portions of the property taxes as well!…….again! Looks like Mac and cheese for supper ……again! Board member Wasson says….it is good to have options…..when told they could reduce the 11.9% levy down to as low as 4,6%. Wish we all had options to charge the public….a high rate….or a higher rate….depending on their spending whims for the next year!

12 percent? 12? Twelve? I wish I could get half that amount in a pay bump. I would be happy to pay 12 percent once those responsible for the mess we are in are put in jail. 47 kids in a classroom?

So if they did get a 12 percent increase would our class sizes go down any? I mean really?? Or is this just money to cover the mistakes of the red plan? Let’s see….the red plan has been in the works for 6-7 years…..they sound like they just figured out it might be a good idea to sell off the surplus buildings.

Also, keep in mind……the School Board will also be back with their hands wide open……looking for another levy increase ( you know, the one we GET TO VOTE ON ) in November 2013…..I guess we are all in the wrong line of work! LOL!

I continue to be amazed at the arrogance of this school board. Don’t they realize that a 12% increase in property taxes in 2013 is outrageous? They have, and continue to, alienate the citizens of the school district as they bludgeon them with these unbelievable tax increases!! This is beyond reason. The City of Duluth and St. Louis County are proposing very modest increases. But not the “RED Plan” school board. No, it’s “sock it to ‘em every time they have a chance. Shameful!!!!
