It still amazes me that some people think a degree is not needed in today’s economy. It simply boggles my mind.
Common sense & elementary school math: my 22 year old son & I both average 60 hours a week at work. My gross is at least 3 X his.
The difference: he is stuck working two dead end $10 jobs & I get paid considerably more. Not to mention bennies & a 401K match that he can’t even dream of.
He does not need a degree for his job, but I do for mine.
Since I just finished grad school I have a very heavy student loan liability. That said, I also have the means to pay it back.
He has neither.
Some day he will wake up & smell the coffee

Nope. My daughter has a HS diploma, yet a resume full of work experience. Her salary is close to mine. In todays economy, big paying jobs do not necessarily coincide with university curricula.
