  ‘on sided’ is that not a sports saying.. What was the government (owned lock stock and barrel by presz b o ‘s party as HE the CEO) going to do after presz b o ‘s crushing defeat by Mitt? You guessed in your first guess. Manipulate the figures,which they did. Only took them ( b o and harry and nancy ,etc) hours to do it. And why not? They figured on doing so within hours of b o falling flat on his face– still grinning from ear to ear.

   As reported by the Tribune today, the facts are that under the leadership of President Obama, the jobless rate is lower than any time since we threw the Republicans out of office. So much for the Republican lies about the current administration not doing enough to restore our economy. The Republicans spent eight years trying to destroy our middle class. President Obama has been steadily pursuing policies to create jobs. It appears the only jobs Romney has created are in the Cayman Islands, or Swiss banks.

   The numbers are encouraging. One wonders if this many jobs were created on the current economists projected growth in the GDP of 1.5% for this year or will we see a bump in the GDP growth before the end of the year?
   Such an anomaly occurred of an increase in job growth was last reported in June, 1983(900,000 jobs) but with the economists projecting a GDP growth rate of 9.0% for that quarter. But, the real GDP for the year settled in at 4.52% for the year.

   When you say “the jobless rate is lower than any time since we threw the Republicans out of office” you are saying the jobless rate was lower under the Republicans, and that is correct. The Obama administration started with a jobless rate of 7.8%, it ballooned to over 10%, and now, after four years, it has trickled down to where it was when they started. The Obama administration, in other words, gave us four years of HIGHER unemployment. And if you take into account the millions of people who have given up trying to find work in Obama’s economy and dropped out of the labor force, real unemployment is is closer to 11%.

   You say “The Republicans spent eight years trying to destroy our middle class.” How has the American family done under Obama? New figures from the Census Bureau’s Current Population Survey, compiled by Sentier Research, show that the typical American household’s real (inflation-adjusted) income has actually dropped 5.7 percent during the Obama “recovery.” Using constant 2012 dollars (to adjust for inflation), the median annual income of American households was $53,718 as of June 2009, the last month of the recession. Now, after 38 months of this “recovery,” it has fallen to $50,678 – a drop of $3,040 per household. Amazingly, incomes have dropped even more during the “recovery” than they did during the recession. In fact, they’ve dropped more than twice as much as they did during the recession. This begs the question: What kind of “recovery” compares unfavorably with the recession from which it is ostensibly recovering?
