Hold marriage to God’s word; vote “yes” on amendment

We were disappointed to see a “church” leader in our community supporting gay marriage, or more specifically, opposing the proposed marriage amendment on the ballot this November. Continue Reading

I’m curious as to what authority religious zealots have that authorize them to dictate what parameters people are required to live by.

Being born and raised in a local church we were always told that everyone is equal in God’s eyes. Now the local pastors are saying that everyone is equal unless they’re gay. WHAT A BUNCH OF HYPOCRITES!!! Is it really up to the pastors or community to decide what is right for a person? I know of at least 2 children of local pastors that are gay, that’s ok. They stand behind their children and it’s not ok for anyone else that is gay. Once again proving they’re hypocrites. It is NOT up to me, you, or anyone else in the world to decide who can believe in christianity.

Here are the traditional definitions of marriage as biblically presented, including passages.

I wonder if the pastors who’ve signed this are just as fervent to defend these as well?

I’m extremely disappointed in their hateful message. Time to accept everyone. Time to love everyone and LET them love. Being judgmental only creates hate. Jesus would disapprove of your message. Be mature enough to let yourself to evolve into a thoughtful and caring human being that only wants to promote gods ultimate message:LOVE. A few ridiculous statements in an honorable but man-made book is NOT any reason to promote such ridiculous and out-dated hatred on people. I’m an atheist and full of love and acceptance. Not sure why your hearts are closed to your few ‘club’ members…

How ironic that these men cite the concept of “religious liberty” as put forth in the state constitution in defending their position, when it is quite obvious that thier difinition of religious liberty is for our constitution and government to promote their religeous views only. The heck with the religious liberty of those who disagree with them.

There are a lot of people in this world that don’t believe in your “God”. Our country was founded on acceptance of all. Churches trying to control govt. is illegal. …….Or taxable. How much wealth of property and funds is religion hoarding? hmmm
