Candidate’s decision ‘speaks volumes’

As a personal follow up to Mr. Butcher’s comment; when Lakeland PTV initially notified me about their candidate debate, I responded that I already had a pre-scheduled committment of equal importance on that same date. That is a life lesson on committments, once made, keep your promise. Which I did.
Yet that did not make any difference to Mr. Butcher. Instead, he attempts to imply that I folded my arms and turned my back on Lakeland PTV by his usage of the word “decline.” That is not nice nor accurate, but I do appreciate his opinion.
