Yes, that old axiom don’t spend money you don’t have! Meanwhile, those who do have the money are spending it lavishly trying to keep their tax breaks. Next time you you see “Crossroads” or “Americans for Prosperity” pushing the Krinkie point of view in TV ads — think “golden rule” (As in Karl Rove and the Koch brothers have the gold and are are trying to make the rules).
What they are after is called “plutocracy.”
What’s needed is less partisan ideology (from both sides) and a NONpartisan effort to overhaul the current tax laws.
