Once again, a miniscule number of people can control the agenda with mis-information, imagination unchecked and hysteria. It is important to bring this news forward but inflamatory remarks taken as fact (the bluffs will be destroyed???) (the water table will be polluted??) does nothing to get the truth out. Extracting oil and gas through fracing with silica sand is here to stay. Studies indicate it is safe. Millions of people depend on these products they produce.
I am sure the 50 who showed up to protest that day have the best intentions to make the world a better place but none of them walked there, or rode a horse or got there by not using a fossil fuel. Fossil fuels will be eliminated one day by their own ineffiency and when technology finds a replacement through the competitive markets.
