I’d have seen you in September, except for the dust. This will go down as the driest September on record in Fargo, as well as the third-driest in Grand Forks, said Tom Grafenauer of the National Weather Service office in Grand Forks.

The world is coming to an end! Record fall rains in 08,09 and 10 and now two dry falls. Sounds like weather in the upper Midwest. In 1936 the record high and low were set in ND. 121 degrees and -60 degrees. When those are crushed in one year, you may get my attention.

Chins, you are right to point out that the ND data for one year cannot be used to predict global patterns — but you should not ignore the overall picture. Global warming is a real phenomenon (as the scientists hired by the Koch brothers to disprove it found!), and things could get out of hand at an accelerating rate.
