sounds like some drivers need to go back to Driver’s Ed school, if they can’t figure out that flashing yellow means caution.

While I understand the flashing yellow arrow, I don’t understand why it was implemented. I don’t claim to drive everywhere in the twin cities, but with a job in sales I drive a lot and I can’t remember seeing the flashing yellow arrow anywhere else. I’m sure there must be one somewhere, but most cities continue to use a standard green circle to indicate that you can turn if oncoming traffic is clear. I would expect and prefer that traffic lights remain consistent in their design throughout the metro area.

You usually see them at a rural intersection where there is a traffic light with designated left turn lanes. Wash. Co. 95 at Old Hudson road for example.

My question is when are they going to look at the 80th street lights crossing over 61. It seems its impossible to get over 61 without stopping at least twice even if there is no crossing traffic waiting.
