Will the residents of Shady Ridge be paying for this as it only benefits them? Or will the city pay for maintenance?

If you take a drive out there right now you’ll see signs saying it’s a private road. They don’t want just anyone driving in the neighborhood. But, they’ll get the city to maintain it for them I’m betting.

I’ve seen those signs. What a bunch of snobs. Now they want us riff raff to pay for their bridge. What an outrage. Something is very very wrong if this happens.

In terms of the city helping….it said in the article that part of the bridge is in city limits and Shady Ridge will be annexed 2014 so I assume the city will then be liable for at least partial maintenance.

Who decided it was a good idea to annex this property?

The city has been annexing property against owners’ wishes for some time.

Someone tell me if I am wrong here but Mayor Brown lived/lives in ShadyRidge. If it is not on city limits how did he become mayor?

Nope he lives/lived on the city side of the bridge. But which property does he really live in? The one on Desiree or the brownstone that gives him a nice break on his state income taxes?

Just curious, since the bridge hasn’t been built yet. Could it have been located entirely in the township or is this the result of some creative road designing.
