If this hate-filled amendment passes, it will be ultimately voided by the U.S. Supreme Court as an unlawful abridgement of the rights granted all citizens under the U.S. Constitution. In November, Minnesotans need to decide whether they want to stand on the side of the U.S. Constitution or on the side of religious special interest.

The sad part of this whole amendment issue is the fact that gay marriage is already illegal. Nothing is going to change from the amendment passing. I just don’t understand the sudden need for this to be in the constitution.
I see the amendment passing but it is only a matter of time before gay marriage is legal. Older voters will die off and be replaced by younger, more tolerant voters. We would just be delaying the inevitable by passing it.

Unfortunately I watched some of those early debates … I absolutely cringed when the gay soldier was booed … I was horrified and embarrassed that we would treat a soldier this way, gay, straight or anything in between. I shudder to think what is next.

It is interesting if you check all of the constitution amendments that MN has done to date … does anyone realize … or care for that matter, that it took THREE tries to allow African Americans to vote … THREE tries! and the ‘all men are created equal’ thingy … you know the one … here it is…

quite apparently only some are equal … others not so much … now I am waiting for the ‘voting test’ … you know … you must take a test to prove you are smart enough to vote … or you may pass go and go straight to the voting booth if you make over $100,000 … we are a plutocracy you know … maybe proving that you are smart enough to vote is a good thing … hmmmmmmmmmmm …. that could knock several million eligible voters off the rolls right away!
