Read the commentary and you’ll see the lame questions and answers offered up on that show. And did you see Ann Romney on the Tonight Show last night? Your argument is totally lame. Romney has more than a few BIG guys funding his campaign, and you know it. Sheldon Adelson, Las Vegas casino owner, has now donated $70 million to Republicans this year, and has set a new record! Fundraisers for Romney often charge up to $50,000 per attendee. Where’s the difference? Answer: there is none. Everybody does it.
As for vacation time, I offer up this question and answer from factcheck.org. You will, of course, refuse to believe it since it doesn’t suit your purpose, but perhaps other readers will. Facts are messy things, unless they’re YOUR facts.

I know facts are are a tough thing so I’ll just use Obama’s own words.
1) If I can’t turn this thing around in 3 1/2 years then this wil be a one term proposition.
2) If we pass the stimulus, unemployment won’t go over 8%
3) George Bush was “unAmerican” for adding 4T to the debt in 8 yrs and Obama has added 6T in just 3 1/2 yrs. Who is going to pay for the 16T we have in debt?
4) I will close Gitmo. (Gitmo is still open)
5)Taxes won’t go up if we pass the “Affordable Care Act”
6) You will still be able to keep your own doctor
7) The video is why our embassy was attacted
Oh yea, Gas was $1.89 when he took office and now is close to $4.00. Is Obama greasing his big oil buddies too? Do you remember all of the investigations we had when Bush was in office? And let’s not forget about food prices, both of these are just killers for the poor in this country.
I could go on and on. I just wish someone would give me one good reason to vote FOR this worthless excuse for a president. He obviously can’t run on his record otherwise he would be doing it instead of trying to run down his competition. This country got duped once, hopefully we have woken up and we will decide socialism isn’t what made this country great.

Interesting to blame a President for gas prices when its a global commodity. Free market (something the GOP strongly believe in) dictates the price and not 1 man. If that were the case, the Bush was to blame for the prices in 08. Which i don’t blame him for at all. Same would go for food pricing. Free market. Most of the food pricing is acutally going up due to the poor corn harvet due to the drought we had most of the summer.

Did you get your talking points from Jay Carney or from Robert Gibbs? It sounds exactally like what they were saying all weekend about why he isn’t engaged at the UN. I believe It’s because he knows he’s way over his head. All he knows how to do is to give a speech. Why did you take the time to go off topic and refute PatE’s comments but you won’t go any where near mine? What does Mitt Romney or his wife have to do with our embassy being attacked by AlQuada and our Ambassador being raped and beaten and 2 of our Marines being killed while Obama was chumming around with the movie stars? I just think that if we have a serious crisis ANY president should be in Washington and this is a serious crisis. I know they can be in touch anywhere but it’s the perception that counts and when he’s on Letterman or joking around on the View it doesn’t look like he’s taking it very seriously. Also, Bush never played 1 round of golf after 9/11 and 60% of the troops killed in Afghanistan has happened since Obama’s been president and I think he got to be around 100 rounds of golf but I guess that I’m getting off topic again.

Also, “60% of the troops killed in Afghanistan has happened since Obama’s been president” makes sense. Under Bush we really didn’t fight much in Afghanistan. It was all Iraq. Since Obama ended the Iraq war, we have shifted to Afghanistan. The place with the actual terrorist that attacked the US. Home of al-qaeda. Makes sense to fight those that attacked us, right? The outcome has been the virtual destruction of all its leaders.

I haven’t found any Republican that feel gloomy. On the contrary, November 6th. can’t get here quick enough. I just ask myself. What has changed or gotten better the last 2 years? 2 years ago the Republicans swept pretty much all of the House races and almost won back the Senate because we finally said that the status quo isn’t working anymore. There were even some smart Dems that voted out their entrenched politicians. You guys just keep thinking that you have it in the bag…..

It was known as the “Western White House”. Obama on the other hand tends to stay at the most lavish hotels for many days costing the taxpayers money every time he vacations. Laura took 1 vacation per year with her girlfriends to a camping lodge in Washington State. Michelle Obama on the other hand, has taken 42 days vacation, costing taxpayers approximately $10 Million. In one year! Spain, Four day trip to Vail, Colorado ski trip where she spent $2,000 per night for a suite at the Sebastian Hotel. It is estimated that the “hollywood elite couple” has cost the tax payers $1.4 Billion in 2012 alone. The public suffers under an extreme recession but we still end up paying for their lavish lifestyle. I think its disgusting how Michelle herself has taken gross advantage of the position she finds herself.

Food prices were rising way before we knew this drought was coming. The biggest factor in the cost of food has to do with the flooding of the financial markets with money by the Fed trying to, “quantitatively ease” the problem. Central Banks all over the world have been recklessly printing money. When the amount of money in an economy goes up, you will see the purchasing power of the existing money go down.

In part. What it actually tells us is the democrats have handled our monetary interests with great disregard. Uncontrolled spending. Failure to pass budgets (which is required by law,) etc. You base your response on what ONE Congress is doing. One Congress has not gotten us where we are today. It accumulates over long periods of time. It appears as though the democratic spending sprees are what is digging us deeper into the hole. I gave you evidence that Obama created more private sector jobs in his 4 years than the 8 years before him. Also look at the Dow before he took office and what it is now. I love how we can go back and forth on your guys did this and our guys did that but to me it all come down to 1 simple question. Do we want to continue to live in a free country or not? Either we want to have the govt take care of us from cradle to grave and control our every move or we want a limited federal govt that believes in it’s citizens and states and gives them the freedom to make our own decisions, within the law. If you would take the time to read Obama’s books you would know what kind of country he wants us to have. He wants to divide us and put us all in catagories. I’m still trying to figure out how raising taxes on the rich is going to lower gas prices or lower food prices or put anymore money in my pocket. All that is going to do is give the politicians more money to spend and the truth of the matter is that we don’t have an income problem in this country, WE HAVE A SPENDING PROBLEM. Imagine Toby Kieth saying that he was voting for Romney because he is white. RPG – you seem like a bright enough guy and it would be good to have a healthy debate. We probably could agree to disagree on a number of things, but at least your facts are mostly correct and you explain yourself well.
You take a bit of editorial license with some of your comments, though, which leads to misinterpretation. While Jay Z did say he was going to vote for Obama, he didn’t say it was “just because he was black.” Here’s a more complete excerpt from that interview. Doesn’t sound quite the same, does it?
“Despite his support for the President, Jay-Z’s “less government” viewpoint is more in line with Obama’s opponents on the right, such as Republican candidate Mitt Romney, who also calls for smaller government. But his stance on smaller government aside, Jay-Z is all in for the president’s re-election.

People’s minds are made up and no amount of debate is going to change that. I’m not the brightest guy on the planet, but at least I can express my thoughts clearly. Choose to disagree with them; I don’t care.
People who make outlandish comments, not backed up by facts but rather by ignorance or partisanship, deserve to be called out.
The best debates happen when one stays on topic. One last comment (on topic): Should Romney become president, who among you will tell him he CANNOT leave the White House grounds? Ever. Just in case something awful happens. Who will tell him he can’t visit his homes in California, Utah or New Hampshire? Who will tell him he can’t visit his money in Switzerland or the Cayman Islands? The taxpayers will save $BILLIONS a year (per ellamay) on these junkets, extra security installations (guardshacks, presumably Western White House style) at his mansions, fewer Secret Service personnel. No one could ever accuse him of “fiddling”. You get the idea. Debate over.
Anytime anyone wants to debate FACTS, I’m all for it. Wild assertions and attacks – or baited questions that are off topic – will be called out, or ignored.

My point (about Romney’s Mormon support or Ryan’s Janesville support) is that people often vote for a candidate “just because”. Perhaps Mormons want a Mormon in the White House for the first time; Perhaps Janesville people want to be able to say one of their locals “made it big”. Who knows? And you’re fooling yourself if you think that a certain segment of the white population will NOT vote for Obama because of his color.
