Any recipe for potty training should include the goal of being DONE with DIAPERS by the kid’s SECOND BIRTHDAY.
I see kids at three and four still in diapers. Shameful. Wasteful. I knew one kid that at age three-and-some-months had to be kept in diapers because he thought it was a great idea to pee on the drapes of the trailer they lived in. Mom would say “Oh, Billy” and that was the extent of her “discouraging” his behavior. (Not real name of kid!)
I was in a restaurant a few years ago…some mother decided it was a great idea to put the kid on the unused table next to me and change the diaper. Some parents have no sense.
But what the hell. Diapers are free. There’s no landfill problem. Most folks think dirty diapers could be lawn ornaments. Right???
