Man lost and found in Lake Co. woods

Members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Rescue Squad responded to a call last Tuesday evening and two hours later carried John Koepsell out of the woods. Koepsell was dehydrated and hypothermic, but safe after being lost in the woods for four days without food and water. Continue Reading
I used to teach my firearms safety kids to carry a compass, matches and a few other basic survival items ON THEIR PERSON when going into the woods. If he’d done that, he would have been able to build a signal fire, or at the very least, use the compass to head back to the road.
