Stop the insanity! Ya, ya, I know it’s good for the economy of ND, but I thought we were doing all right before big oil came to town. If I wanted to live in a place where the countryside is pocked with derricks I’d have moved to Texas. I enjoy the wide open spaces and small populations North Dakota offers. On a recent drive home from Montana I stopped in Dickinson for gas. What cost be $3.61 in Montana cost me $3.94 in Dickinson. The stations were packed with vehicles, mostly crew cab pickups full of men. I got kind of creeped out that I couldn’t find another woman in sight. I’d never want to live near an oil boom area. I feel for those out west whose lives have been upended because of oil.

Just another way a major corporation will keep an operation from undermining the cost of fuel to ensure that it stays HIGH!

This pretty well undercuts the story line that we have to be very afraid all the oil companies are going to pull up stakes and leave because of those nasty regulations.

Who knows, maybe Communist China will start to buy it up, like the Tar Sands in Alberta.
