So… does the 25K raise stand? Its a classic case of do the deed then ask for forgiveness later. I still think this increase should be seriously scrutinized. If found to be out of line, (not compared to other dept. heads who may or may not have longevity, more responsibility, different credentials that naturally garner higher compensation) for a communications/liaison position, then the wage ought to be adjusted accordingly. I don’t think this should be swept under the rug and although the council has made steps towards avoiding a similar situation in the future, from what I am reading it doesn’t appear this specific, this particular raise, was not addressed but fluffed off under the blanket of we’ll do more in the future. If someone knows more to the contrary about this, please do share.
