So they had to move the team because of financial reasons. That means they werent getting enough people at the games to support them. I went to a few and yes, the crowds were scarce. What makes anyone think they are going to get people to come to a lower level of hockey at the same ticket price? It will be worse.

I don’t think the crowd size will be hurt, especially since more local players will be on the team. The other part that helps make the team feasible at this level is that the players can get charged money to be on the team. Getting around $100-200k (I’m not an insider) for 20 kids makes the budget easier to balance.
