Bob Dylan: Stigma of slavery ruined America

NEW YORK (AP) Bob Dylan says the stigma of slavery ruined America and he doubts the country can get rid of the shame because it was “founded on the backs of slaves.”

Over a period of 4 centuries, 10 million slaves were transported from Africa, with 50% going to South America (mainly Brazil), 40% to the Caribbean, 4 % to the U.S., and the balance elsewhere.
Only the U.S. is mentioned by the pundits, when discussing the evil of slavery … even when it comes to, the otherwise prolific, Dylan.
