Fewer 9/11 families on hand for 11th anniversary
September 11, 2012 at 7:14 am in Grand Forks Herald
Americans marked the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks Tuesday in familiar but subdued ceremonies that put grieving families ahead of politicians and suggested it’s time to move on after a decade of remembrance. Continue Reading

This morning on MSNBC the author of a new book about 9/11 appeared in an interview. His research was also an oped piece this morning in the NYT. His book goes into great detail about how the CIA couldn’t get the Bush Admin. to listen in July to their intell about the coming attack. CIA officials were discussing group transfers because they didn’t want to be blamed for not preventing the coming attacks. Amazing that citizens still believe the official story!

Amazon.com Review
Amazon Best Books of the Month, September 2012: Initially, Eichenwald (The Informant) planned to write a post-9/11 analysis of the second Bush presidency, until he realized that most of the events that set the stage for wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the War on Terror–the “decisions, deceptions, and delusions”–happened in the first 18 months after the attacks. This fast-paced narrative of those 553 days takes readers inside CIA headquarters, 10 Downing Street, al-Qaeda training camps, Egyptian torture chambers, and secret prisons. Deeply researched but written like an international spy thriller, Eichenwald’s book shows how decisions prompted by fear, hatred, and paranoia created a post-9/11 history “shaped by the experiences of the powerless.” –Neal Thompson

Denialism in spades on this site. People can’t see their complicity in voting for a POTUS that allows 9/11 to happen, the assassinations of the 60s, American imperialist wars, racism, global warming, the list goes on. The body politic cannot get past its pathological existence as a country based on lies. As Pogo said, “we have met the enemy & it is us”.

Ok, I am just curious why the first comments of Spearman were disliked? You can dislike my comment all you want, but truth is truth people. I am not into the 9/11 conspiracy theory, but I can strongly agree that mistakes were made leading up to this tragedy by both the office of Bush and Clinton. Spearman was correct that the CIA had intelligence regarding a potential terrorist threat. Could have this event been stopped? Maybe, maybe not. It is just like the bomb threats that have been happening in the area the past week. I applaud our police for erring on the side of caution and evacuating these places. I only wish our government had done that back in 2001.
