OUR OPINION: Where the earth is ‘untrammeled by man’

Limited roads and no oil rigs in the Badlands or the National Grasslands. It is an area unique to the nation. Of course if some of it is privately held land there will be much negotiation needed and maybe the use of some of the legacy fund money to purchase it. Do we really want the federal government owning it? Why can’t North Dakota take care of this themselves, unless of course it’s going to be an expansion of TR Ntl. Park. Also, don’t let the extreme environmentalists get in the picture so the entire area becomes “off limits” to humans. Allow hunting, hiking and the likes, in limited areas.
