I sure wish ND would do what Minnesota’s already doing BEFORE our waters are contaminated. Why we’re not having things like boat checks at the borders and inspectors at the ramps totally puzzles me. These are things we can do with the staff and laws we already have in place. If for no other reason, we should at least do it on a test basis so we have an idea if people are cleaning their boats and doing what they’re supposed to BEFORE they put their boats in our lakes. Considering the impact of tourism and our fishing industry on our economy it’s so foolish to wait until there’s an actual problem before we do these things.
