New school year brings new transportation complaints from Worthington area families
WORTHINGTON In addition to homework and fall sports, the new school year has brought a plethora of busing issues for some District 518 families. Continue Reading

Bussing is going so much better this year than last year for us.
I’m sorry to hear that there are so many problems for others.
I hope the bussing company quickly resolves the issues.

By the way, our bussing issues never got resolved last year and the solution was seemingly easy.
Not on the right bus, at the right stop, at the right time, no ride.
It’s illegal for a school bus to be in motion when children are not seated in an overcrowded bus but they did it anyway even after phone calls to bussing company and principals.

This is what happens when you try to fix something that isn’t broke…. with a low bid.
Hot debate. What do you think?

Kempema Bros wasn’t perfect either.
Imagine the conservatives squawking if public schools and government took high bids.

Kempema Brothers stood “head & shoulders” above this bus companies performance!

I can tell you that the busing for us wasn’t off on the right foot at all. We have a kindergardener starting. We did all the steps to ensure busing. We called and talked to the bus company with the number provided by the school. We got a pick up time and location. Also we cleared where our child would go after school to daycare. On open house, they had no idea who our child was, when his pick up time was (dispite telling us 2 days prior) and no clue what bus number he had. My wife was treated as if the mistake was her fault, dispite talking to them on 2 seperate occasions BEFORE the open house. Not shockingly he wasn’t placed on a bus after the first day and his teach had to take him to daycare.
