Untrue. But then the believers probably thought Paul Ryan was telling the truth last night when he claimed that GM closed the plant in Janesville undeer Obama when it had closed under Bush. Or that Ryan is a fiscal consevative when his voting record shows the opposite like TARP (Wall Street bail out) Medicare Part D (unfunded), and voting to save the auto industry.

I wonder if the seniors believed Obama when he said they might not get SS checks if the repubs didn’t up the debt limit? The spending party is over for both dems and repubs.

About thirty years past due for a proper and thorough investigation of the gasoline price-fixing in Grand Forks.
We all know that station owners are illegally colluding to drive up the price. Time for them to go to prison for it.

Do you buy tinf the truck load? How do stations with owners spread all over the COUNTRY get together everyday to set the price? Are all the other towns in the state getting together also since they do the same thing? Do all of them get together with the stations in Minneapolis to set the price? You know how asinine you sound with this dribble? Try this out for size. Gas prices in Phoenix have gone up 50 cents in the last three to four weeks. It is not just about what you paid for in the tank but what you will be mixing into that tank in the next few days. What is Minot at? Dang same as GF. How about Bismarck? Whoops same as GF. How about Jamestown? Darn again same as GF. Maybe Dickinson? Nope darn again higher than GF. So that leaves Fargo which is an anomoly is cheaper. Why are they cheaper always? 3 reasons for that. Mills Fleet Farm, Flying J, and Love’s. All three use gas sales as a loss leader. Why? Because Flying J and Love’s make their money selling diesel fuel. Fleet Farm? Fighting with Flying J for years. Funny but Fleet Farm does not do this anywhere else than Fargo. Now tell us again how they get together to set the price.

This is where there needs to be protective regs…..They’re raising prices on fuel that’s already been bought at a lower price on just a possible need to do so later if a hurricane does enough damage…..Any way you slice it that’s pure BS, and pure gouging. If they don’t have to compete on pricing, then we need gouging protection on crap like this. There’s no way they should be able to jump prices on a weather report when there’s been nothing done to indicate there will be a shortage. Tired of big oil screwing us at every turn

The point was, as repeated above, that the stations had gas in the tanks, paid for at a lower price. They have made a cottage industry out of upping their prices based on quotes for oil not yet even brought to market.

Not how it works. You can easily have three different priced fuels in the tank and you need to even them out.

It is how it works. Gas stations in GF collude on prices, and raise them the second WTI goes up. Five days after they go down they lower them.

If you don’t like it vote to nationalize the oil industry instead of engaging in Sophistry.
