They make it look like there is help out there for the flood damage for everyone – there isn’t. If you are middle class, even if you sustained thousands in damages, all that is offered to you is a SBA loan at interest rates higher than you can get at your local credit union. This is help? The money raised by generous donors around the area? – only available if you are lower income and NOT ELIGIBLE for loans. There are two interest rates… 1.9% and 4.7% – If you have decent credit and eligibility – they offer the higher interest. Once again, middle income gets the shaft.
