RYAN BAKKEN: Pill for men hard to swallow
August 20, 2012 at 3:55 pm in Grand Forks Herald
A contraceptive pill for males is on the horizon. This news likely will be cheered wildly by women, who overwhelmingly have carried the birth control burden over the years. Not so fast, ladies. Continue Reading

“Plus, it’s sure to be less painful than a vasectomy.”
My husband swore once we moved he was going to get snipped. Then he changed his mind. Sucks for him because I changed my mind too. Now he doesn’t get any. ^_^

Women have been sacrificing their health for years and years, controlling (and sometimes stopping) what naturally happens to their bodies. The “I’ll be less manly” argument is invalid.

Good point about “Young Men” not remembering to take the pill. When you’re young you might take a vitamen every day, but otherwise you’re just on the go. When you’re an old timer and taking meds every day…..Well…You still could need it I suppose, but not like when you were young. Well…At least it will be something to take along with the four hour wood pills

If all men are as inept as this article makes them seem, it’s a wonder they can even get their pants on in the morning.

It’s a good idea to use a condom no matter what…birth control or no birth control…married or single.

I prefer the “you aren’t getting any” form of birth control. It’s 100% effective! ^_^

I cant help but wonder how many women would feel good about their little one night stand just because a guy says hes “on the pill”
I see a lot of women falling for the guys story and ending up pregnant.
If the woman is the one who has to carry the child for 9 months, i would think they would be the ones to make absolute sure they are as protected as possible.
This pill for men, takes that control out of their hands and forces them to trust someone else.
I think this is a good idea for married couples, but too many women already fall victim to the bar scenes one night stand and this is a disaster waiting to happen for that area.

I disagree. If a woman wants to have a one night stand, she should protect herself by insisting on condoms. That pill won’t protect against STDs. Also, should a pregnancy occur, it would be the man’s problem, too.

This was going to be my comment.. I can see it now, it is late friday night and in you ear you hear… “Sure I’m on the pill.. you can trust me..” Two months later social services informs you that you are a daddy..
What has changed in this scenario? Nothing.. It has been happening to guys for years by women. If you are going to out in the crowd and having one night stands.. It is up to you to protect yourself. Not anyone else.

A couple from Duluth wrote a letter to the editor of the DNT complaining about how skimpy the athlete’s outfits were during the summer Olympics. I thought they all looked great. I did read though…the athletes were each given fifteen condoms with the option of more if they needed them. They were in London for fourteen days so they had a spare. I kid you not. I guess competition makes people horny.
