The Polk County Humane society is trying to treat a dog that may have been hit by a train as a result of animal abuse. Witnesses say they saw the dog dragging himself by railroad tracks near Fisher. Animals have heartbeats just like people do. When people abuse people, they are arrrested & pay for it one way or another. It should be the same for animal abuse. If you abuse an animal, you should be arrested & have to pay for it one way or another. When will people realize that animals are NOT property. They are a living breathing animal! Remember science class where they taught us that people are animals too. Animal abuse is a crime & the abusers should be treated like the criminals that they are.
