Please give us some specifics. It is my understanding the district is operating somewhere around $1,000,000 or so short of the funds necessary to balance its budget. It is also my understanding, from news articles, this deficit has increased over the past years, not grown smaller. Thanks in advance for whatever additional financial enlightenment you can provide the public in your position as the new superintendent

If you have borrowed funds in the last couple of years to cover your operating costs, and the shortfalls/holdbacks from the state, are you assessing the district taxpayers for the interest expense in your annual school district property tax amounts? Can you tell us how much your past and current year interest expenses are for any items of this nature? Thanks for any clarification you can give.
