Makes me really proud to be living in Nobles County. We have a Chairman that openly, and blatantly lies to us, but the great people of his district keep voting for him. Just because he drives to your house and shakes your doesn’t mean he deserves your vote. A perfect example of why Nobles County will continue to fail. Re-elect LIARS IE: Dave “Mel’s Puppet” Benson and thing will not change.

“Lies” and “LIARS” are very mean spirited words, but… I am doubtful the statements he made at my doorstep can be substantiated by the vote record in the minutes from past Commissioner meetings!

““Lies” and “LIARS” are very mean spirited words,”…… Speaking the TRUTH, should not be confused as being mean spirited! That being said, how many times have you heard or even said; “my vote doesn’t matter?” Was Mr Paplow your favorite? How about Mr. Widboom? If YOU wouldn’t have been apathetic about getting out to vote for your favorite person, YOUR vote could have very well cinched it for your favorite candidate. Congrats to those who are moving on to the general election and THANKS to those who seen the problem and were willing to step up and try to make a change!

Thanks for the concern, but I did get to vote. April 3, 2012 Chairman Benson said that Mel had retired as Nobles County Administrator. On April 17, 2012 the Daily Globe has an editorial saying that in fact Mel didn’t retire, but was still on the payroll for another year to help in an advisory role. What would that be called? Not being honest? I have a very hard time trusting somebody to be a leader when they have shown no problem not telling us the truth.

When can we expect results from the other districts?

What other results are you looking for, naughtydog? Results from Districts 2 and 5 were in the story. Districts 1 and 4 did not have a primary because there were only two candidates that filed. Primaries are conducted when three or more candidates file for the same seat.

Thanks for explaining that there were only two candidates for Districts 1 and 4 and therefore no primaries in those two Districts.
