He wants a federal ban on same sex marriage, supported patriot act, opposes embryonic stem cell research, opposes contraception funding, opposes hate crime laws, wanted constitutional amendment banning flag desecration, supports expanding oil drilling, opposes funding for any renewable energy, opposes regulation of greenhouse gasses, opposes preserving habitats for endangered species, supports line veto, supports warrantless wiretaps, opposes civil oversight on surveillance, supports neverending war on terror. “He wants a federal ban on same sex marriage” apparently so do a lot of others, gay marriage has been thrown out in all 31 states where it has been put to vote. It was Bill Clinton that signed the Defense of Marriage Act.
“supported patriot act” Obama signed the Patriot Act extension in 2010 without any reforms. He recently signed the Defense Authorization Act vastly expanding the President’s personal power to arrest American citizens on American soil at whim. The Obama Police State tightens even more with the approval of 24/7 surveillance provided by 30,000 spy drones over America.
“opposes embryonic stem cell research” forget for a moment the ethical question of raising then slaughtering embryos to harvest their stem cells, the fact is they just don’t work as well as adult stem cells or cord cells. Embryonic stem cell research is not illegal, the opposition is to Federal funding.This country is BROKE! Private funding is allowed.
“opposes contraception funding” since when is it the Federal Governments duty to provide free birth control? This country is BROKE!
“opposes hate crime laws” Hate crime legislation is a child of the modern political correctness movement. What hate crime legislation does is create a dynamic of proper versus improper thought, as determined by government. It is not a feat of intellectual gymnastics to deduce that a government that can punish criminals for wrong thinking can eventually punish law-abiding citizens for the same.
“wanted constitutional amendment banning flag desecration” not a big issue since it didn’t pass, so if people like you want to desecrate the American flag Ryan can’t stop you.
“supports expanding oil drilling” and you don’t? Seen gas prices lately?? And just think of all the taxes Obama would collect if he would allow us to develop our own resources!
“opposes funding for any renewable energy” you mean he wants to let the market work? Sounds like a good idea to me. Besides, this country is BROKE!
“opposes regulation of greenhouse gasses” Cap & Trade legislation and EPA regulation of carbon dioxide will strangle this country economically and will have absolutely no effect on the climate.
“opposes preserving habitats for endangered species” look at the excesses of laws like these, where California’s San Joaquin Valley is suffering in a drought made worse by federal regulations to protect the three inch long Delta Smelt.
“supports line veto” do you like the way things are going, with trillion dollar plus deficits every year for as far as the eye can see?
“supports warrantless wiretaps, opposes civil oversight on surveillance” we dealt with this already, Obama supports all that and more.
“supports neverending war on terror” terrorists are at war with us, the question is will we continue to fight back? Ryan to his credit wants to defend this country.

Apparently the teacher’s union has mobilized to this site since they have their summer off, based on the Ryan negativity! Obama and prince Harry R have not had one budget bill vote in the Sanate in over 3 years. Senator Reed funds our government with continuing resolutions, so NO OVERSIGHT of our spending priorities exist! They just keep spending off the emergency budget. Big expensive funding to state and city government that we, they can not afford.Local governments need to take control of their spending especially in education, police and fire employment. I hope this returns to a local based tax so a little sanity can return to local government spending. After all, I do not want to bail out the state of California or any state that has spent excessively and resisted raising it own taxes, nor do I want to bail out year after year local governments who will not get their fiscal house in order! Ryan and Republicans have had the courage to put out a budget in the House and are being honest with the American People unlike Obama and company. They are also willing to take on the powerful government unions that are way out of control and bankrupting us locally, statewide and nationally!!

Ryan is a perfect pick. Mr Ryan votes with other Republicans against the stimulus which not one Republican voted for. Now what is funny is Ryan wrote four letters to the Obama administration asking for stimulus money for his state and gave glowing reports of how this money would create jobs and help with energy saving programs. He wrote Four letters which the Obama campaign has. I love it when these Republicans flip flop on issues then try and con the voters into believing they so Conservative. I can’t wait for the debates because neither candidate has a clue, and they are not very good at covering their tracks that will be uncovered when the debates start. The way I see it they have lost before they began but like in any Presidential campaign it has to play out..

Jimmy, I agree the perfect pick! We presently have a Chicago gutter style politician in the White House that will do and say anything to get reelected. Obama’s Hope and Change should be called Lies and more Lies! Romney will not have to lie about Obama’s record, as it is a PATHETIC RECORD. He should also truthfully expose Obama’s personal associations. His mentor Rev Wright along with his socialist buddies, his past cocaine use are good starting points. Romney has one big advantage and that is he can run a tough campaign being totally honest! Rep Ryan will be great at making Obama’s failed policies a little more transparent!

Amazing how the actual gutter candidates are Mittrobme and Ryanslash’em. Two of the best flip floppers that would even test the likes of McCain, who I thought was the king of flip floppers. You see no matter what the politics are in Chicago, it is no reflection on Obama. John you are sort of late on this angle, the Republicans and McCain Palin ticket tried this in 2008, and failed. So whats next, Al Capone? The Republicans are trying to dig deep for something anything as well as their followers, but today I got to see some Republicans with signs that stated Republicans for Obama, and this was a pleasant sight to behold. There is hope for those who know a con job when they see it and will jump party lines to vote the best candidate in office, the same thing I have done over the past 40yrs. The main point is who is the best person for the job, and hands down its Obama! The Republicans used mud throwing in 2008, and in this election they are using the misleading and false campaign hoping to bailout their sinking campaign but its not working, because this time around Obama is fighting back and pointing out the misleading and false promises these two carpetbaggers are using. Mittmoney who was taxed 13% while Teachers making 40 Thousand a year were being taxed over 20%. This is why Mittmoney does not want to reveal his tax returns. Now Republicans wanted Obama to show his birth certificate yet Mittmoney feels he is too privilaged to have to show many Americans how he was taxed because its daming. This is a guy who took four deferences to keep from being drafted in Vietnam. Then his company he is the CEO in out sourced American jobs, took huge fees with Bain as they dismantled companies then was taxed far less then average Americans. Mittmoney calls himself all American? Then why does he have off shore accounts, with money in other countries banks, and not in American banks?

President Obama grants waivers tostates like Minnesota because FAILING SCHOOLS and FAILING TEACHERS AFFECTING predominantly STUDENTS in poor urban areas. He bypasses congress and does this by executive order! WHY? The endorsement of the teachers union! Now the real question does the teachers union care about quality education? Obama and the teachers union created a new program called NO TEACHER LEFT BEHIND! This misuse of power by Obama and the teachers union should outrage all Americans!!!
